Guest guest
I must have screwed up on the numbers, the fever last night was 100.4 not 104! However by this afternoon it was 101.2, I am seeing the doctor @8:00 am tomorrow... Kimmie from Templeton was kind enough to get up at 5:00 am to bring me.The fever has been weird, fluctuating from 99.4 to the high of 101.2, but it has scared me. As always thank you all for your concern, I'm sure the doctor will help clear things up. I think part of my fear is that an old friend from high school had sent me a message while I was in the hospital letting me know that a mutual acquaintance or ours had died over Thanksgiving after being released from the hospital having her gall bladder out, she went home on Friday and died on Sunday... This of course has me for sure dying in my sleep and my children finding me... I guess I'm feeling how very much I am alone and it is scary for me at this point. I have done great with my food today, water intake is over 32 oz., Is too much water a problem? I get my protein in with my milk products (thank god for them)... And managed 1 carb, 1 fruit & 1 veggie today as well, I still have 1 protein to go, but probably won't eat again tonight. I'm going to try and go to bed early. I'll let you all know how I'm doing tomorrow... Dawn - How is Ralph doing? Hugs, Joni
Guest guest
Joni, I can imagine how scared you must be after hearing that story! I just want you to know that I'm thinking about you. It sounds like you're doing great with the water (never too much!) and that you're back to pureed, yes? Every day on pureed food was a personal hell for me, but in the grand scheme of things, it's such a little time. It's so worth it to baby your pouch now while it's healing in order to prevent any trouble in the near future. I know you can stick with it! Are you able to come to the meeting this week? I ended up getting a different kind of coat, so I was going to bring yours back to you if that's okay. If you're not there, I'll hang on to it until next time. I love it, but because it's leather I found that it's too heavy for me (don't ask, I'm wierd about bulky stuff ;-) Hugs, Alice jdd716@... wrote: > > I must have screwed up on the numbers, the fever last night was 100.4 not > 104! Guest guest
You scared the crap outta me with that temp! Still needs to be checked, I'm glad you're going tmrw. Please keep us posted. R's hanging in there...the main factor at this point to be released, is keeping his fever stabilized, so they know the oral antibiotics will be ok once home. They have him on IV anti's while in hospital, bed rest, leg elevated. Other than his leg, he said he feels fine. Thanks for asking, and best of luck tmrw! Dawn PS...How is Kim? Joni - fever... Guest guest
Alice, I am planning on coming to the meeting Thursday, as long as my blood work done this morning with Dr. Thayer does not show any problems. I got my staples out!! Since I saw Dr. Thayer this morning and I was scheduled to have them out on Thursday (and he is not going to be there], he took them out... Feel's kinda weird without them. Kim from Templeton brought me to the Dr. this morning we were in and out of there in less than an hour (including the blood work) and stopped and did some Christmas shopping. I am exhausted as this was my first excursion and it ran into hours... I went right back to the blended diet with no problem and what ever was happening on Sunday seems to have passed. I do know that I have learned a lesson and will be better prepared next time. Dr. Thayer slapped my hand and told me to be good, but was very glad that I was able to be honest about it.... Guest guest
Joni, You and we will be anxious to hear from you. Isn't Kim from Templeton super to drive you in. Where do you live, Joni? I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything is ok, but with a low grade temp, it needs checking. Post again. Sally Joni - fever... > > I must have screwed up on the numbers, the fever last night was 100.4 not > 104! However by this afternoon it was 101.2, I am seeing the doctor @8:00 am > tomorrow... Guest guest
Joni, I’m so glad that everything worked out and that the fever is gone. Did he say what may have caused it? Anyway, I hope to see you Thursday! - AA jdd716@... wrote: > Alice, > > I am planning on coming to the meeting Thursday, as long as my blood work > done this morning with Dr. Thayer does not show any problems. > > I got my staples out!! Glad to see your back on track. Keep it UP!!! -
