Guest guest
The only time I use Lidoderm patches is when I have free samples fromthe doctor. I have medical insurance, but those patches are so wildlyover priced for what they do, that I cannot bring myself to force my insurance company to pick up most of the tab. > -- Lyndi, I know what you mean. In New York anyone would pay one hundred and seventy nine dollars for a box of thirty, but since I have a fantastic medicare part D drug plan I only pay five dollars and twenty cents per box. The insurance company picks up the rest. This is most likely the reason my premium has doubled in the last two years! /New York
Guest guest
I have insurance and pay $1.00 a patch. Its worth it to me but lately I have been having trouble with them sticking and that has never happened before. They don't seem quite as effective either. I took them back to the pharmacy and got a new batch but its still happening(coming off even when taped). I'm wondering if they have changed or if I'm just lucky this hasn't happened before. Guest guest
I have to say I am very thankful for having a great secondary insurance (Tricare) to Medicare that has excellent prescription plan. I only pay 9 dollars for 3 boxes of Lidoderm patches and other medications. The most I pay is 22.dollars for 3 months supply if there is no generic. I think the government needs to do more for people who are disabled. Virginia I know what you mean. For what they are, Lidoderm patches are insanely priced. My co-pay is $20, so my up front cost is reasonable. But, that still leaves $150 or more, for my insurance company to pick up. Add that in with my other prescriptions, and it's enough to have a rise in my insurance prices. The insurance company isn't in it to lose money every month. Heck, when I smear some Lidoderm on my neck and stick a piece of plastic wrap on top of it, I get the same effect as when I wear a patch. It only lasts about six hours, but the total cost all 'round is just pennies. -- Lyndi
Guest guest
JoAnn, I've had very good luck with these patches. They are great and I find they work for much longer than the 12 hours they say to keep them on. They are expensive, but they are a lifesaver in certain situations. They help alleviate about 10-20% of my hip pain. I would suspect that in less fatty areas they would work better. I've also cut them up and used them often on things like ant bites on my daughter (she had them on the soles of her feet and was miserable and it was the only thing that helped) I guess we'll have to wait 10 years for the generics. -Talese > > Hi everyone, > > Hope you are having a good week. > > Has anyone used the new patches, Lidoderm? > > A good friend just called me, she attended a RSD support group meeting, > and heard some good first-hand reports on these patches. > > Any/all information will be appreciated. > > Take care, > > ~JoAnn~ >

Guest guest
I use them every now and then but its one of those things that I don't really know if they help or not. But I keep trying. You are right about tapering them. I have to tape every one on my back. to keep it from rolling up and off. Ron <ronpato41@...
Guest guest
Hi I noticed that they numbed my skin but did not really help with deeper pain. Superfically they are nice for like a muscle strain but no results for chronic pain. It kinda felt like when you go to the dentist and get numbed for a cavity but on my back instead. Guest guest
I couldn't agree more with Caitlin, Lidoderm patches saved my neck from imploding,ha, ha. But seriously, it completely killed my necks nerve pain and shoulder pain too. I also use them on my lumbar when it gets a bit " sparky " (electric shocks) on me. /New York
