I know we have had these on the list before. Anyone that has one

that wouldn't mind sharing please send it to me. If possible I would

like to see some with non-rotating schedules as well.

Is it possible we could upload some of our various schedules into the files

section? Sometimes we go back and forth and review where we might want to

change and having access to a variety of options would be nice.

The folks of 'Dispatch Monthly' have it all at

http://www.911dispatch.com/shiftwork/staffing_config.html

In my opinion, the 911dispatch.com site is the most

useful on the web and worth bookmarking.

Okay we run our 3 8hr shifts plus 2 10 hour shifts with rotating days off

and on a 7 week cycle. It gives you 5 on 3 off for 3 weeks and 4 on 4 off for

4 weeks. Our pay period starts Sunday and ends Saturday.

8hr shifts 6:30am to 2:30pm 2:30pm to 10:30 pm 10:30pm to 6:30am

10hr shifts 8:30am to 6:30pm and 6:30pm to 4:30am

Week 1 Off Monday Tuesday Wednesday

Week 2 Off Tuesday Wednesday Thursday

Week 3 Off Wednesday Thursday Friday

Week 4 Off Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday

Week 5 Off Friday Saturday Sunday Monday

Week 6 Off Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday

Week 7 Off Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday

Then start back to week 1.

If you look at it per pay week we have only 3 days off. That is how we get

40hrs per week.

When we are at full staff we have 118 dispatchers/calltakers. 28 are on the

10hr shifts, and the rest are split up on the three 8hrs shifts. When we

started two people started on each week so we are not all off on the same

days.
