Guest guest
Marie, My girl friend’s son had testicular cancer (he was only 26) he was going to the ER several times a week nausea, vomiting, pain, he couldn’t keep anything down - his doctor gave him marijuana in pill form. It was the only thing that helped. He was able to eat and gain some weight back and with it a little energy. It also helped his pain. She was also told to try and cook food with a fan on so he couldn’t smell the food (that alone made him sick) Also they told her to start him back eating again with “white” food. Plain rice, plain mashed potatoes, vanilla ice cream etc. bland, non smelly stuff. It helped him a lot. Maybe you could mention the pills to your Dad’s doctor. Please keep us updated on him. It's gone to his bones, and probably the lymph nodes. He's lost about 10 pounds in 2 weeks, has pain that we can't seem to get under control, nausea, some vomiting, trouble eating, and can't drink much. I keep thinking of Dan, and how fast things went for him, even though that was a different cancer + PSC. God, this is so hard to watch. ..
