Guest guest
Six months ago, we moved into a house that has a lot of plastic mini- blinds in it. I had been meaning to test them for lead but just hadn't gotten around to getting the test kits. Well, I finally got the kits and the blinds clearly have lead! I am furious with myself for waiting six months before testing them - I should have gotten rid of those things before we moved in. We are going to start chelation on my ASD ds soon, but I am also concerned about my two NT children (and actually, the 5yo could probably benefit from chelation himself - with or without lead exposure). Anyway, does anyone have any advice (other than getting these mini- blinds out of my house!)? Should I get blood levels of lead done on the kids since this is obviously a recent exposure? Do you think they could have acquired a lot of lead from these blinds (no one has mouthed them that I am aware)? Thanks for any input. Peace and grace, Sally, mom to Tom, 8yo dx AS but on the road to recovery Ben, 5yo NT by the grace of God Gracie, 2yo NT and unvaccinated
