Guest guest
Would it make you feel better to know that my hospital bill, without the docs' fees, was a tidy $10,600+? For one night... of course, they took really, really good care of me that night. I stayed in pediatric recovery the whole time, with a superb nurse at my side, literally. And mercifully, my insurance company covered it. I didn't have to tip my docs, and in fact, my insurance company gets a special deal from them, because they are part of the company's network, and their fee is lower. But you know... It all sorta works out to be about the same thing, I think. I do feel for those in this country who do not have insurance, or whose insurance refuses coverage, as they have a tough time meeting those astronomical costs. And of course you will have a success to report! We're counting on you!! Cammie
Guest guest
, don't count on the surgeon's fee being higher if charged to you versus insurance company. I've heard the opposite, although I can't direct you to a specific post. Maybe someone else will remember as well.
