Guest guest
Cole, Oh I can imagine all right. You should see Tyler (17) with his sister who is 14. She has been one to stick to her dog t-shirts and jeans. He walked into the house recently and she had on a " girl " t-shirt and girl jeans and he immediately went in and wrote a song about what he would do to any guy who touched his sister. I wouldn't recommend it. The double standard still stands. He can joke about " getting some " with his friends, but they better leave his sister alone. And , You might need to lock that door a little sooner than 16. Guest guest
Michele, A bit of motherly advice from mother hen. Pam and I came to the conslusion somewhere between Africa and the Marshall Islands that Andy and I simply needed to get home and lock her in the closet. She, bless her heart, had her true rebellion in the teen years by being a cheerleader, on the basketball team, etc. If you knew her parents, you'd know how truly rebellious this was. Well, she got over that. Now, at age 26, we head to a martini bar. It's been a good transition for all of us. Martha P.S. She really liked hearing from you, not that she'll tell me much until she's home for Thanksgiving.
Guest guest
Martha- I enjoy hearing about the escapes of yours and other's grown kids -- CHARGE and sibs. It sure does help to think about what's to come and prepare. As if we can be prepared for anything our kids throw our way! Guest guest
Martha, I am laughing out loud at the cheerleader stuff--again!!! For those of you who don't know Martha, I can attest to the level of rebellion that cheerleading was/is in their household. pam

Guest guest
Well, you know what happens... The less you want your kids to do something, the more eager they'll be to do it! It's a historical proven fact!! So, again, all extremes are dangerous and MODERATION, from both sides, is always the key.. And I KNOW what I'm talking about...
