Hi everyone

Not content with trying to prevent us from going to Miami by running full

speed into our shed Jesscia decided we would spend the bank holiday weekend

at hospital.

Just about to leave for a party this afternoon fell to the floor,

threw up and went unconscious. She came round briefly to throw up again but

went completely limp and her lips started to go blue. She responded to me

shaking her and gradually came round. Flo started to ring for an ambulance

but we live so close to the hospital that we can get there by the time an

ambulance would reach us.

Although pale, within 20 minutes she was acting as if nothing had happened.

However she has been kept in overnight and Flo has the pleasure of staying

in hospital with her. The last time the doctors came before I left Jess was

hanging upside down off my legs laughing - acting ill yeah!

Blood tests have shown nothing likewise an EEG. It doesn't sound like she

had a fit, it doesn't appear that she has an infection and so far its not

her heart. She may well have an echo tomorrow and the hospital are going to

contact cardiology at Great Ormond Street where all her conultants are

based.

It's pretty scary to have a completely limp non breathing child in your

arms, however I knew her heart hadn't stopped and she was responding to be

shaken (gently I hasten to have).

Anybody had any similar episodes?

Simon
