Guest guest
Hey guys, Chantelle has explained it clearly about her theory about my problem. And guess what? She is totally right man! Hey Chantelle dude, thanks for clearing it up for me! Finally, someone who understand about my problems, and know how hard I'm struggling. Yeah, it's true I do feel like they think I'm disabled, cuz of my hearing loss and other physical problem, they must of think I can't do anything else except cleaning! It's like, com'on man! Why did I go to college for? I got a Pet Science Certficate for crying out loud! Even some brusher/bather certificate from dog grooming training school too! I mean, com'on dudes and dudettes, the cutomers just come and drop their pets off and leave!? Excuse me, but what's the (beep) wrong with leaving your pet at home!? Look at Sasha, she is always home alone and she never complains about it! Not even 's 2 cute miniature poodles, or even Yuka and dog, Violet! I mean, those nasty, stubborn, stuck up punk girls are not giving me any credit at all, not giving me any effort! I know that job isn't suppose to be fun....but my job seem to be very boring, tedious, and I feel like I'm not getting any respect at all man! Come on', just cuz I'm hard of hearing, got some minor problems, doesn't mean I can't do anything challenging, that's a sterotype! Guess What I did to fix it...actually 2 or 3 things I did to make it happened: 1) I emailed both to my job coach at GoodWill and my VR Counselor about my problem, that I feel like they're not respecting me, not giving me any chance, and so on! 2) On Monday, my brother and I are going to my work, and he's gonna have a talk wtih Tara and those 2 mean, unrespectful gals (I bet they never met a disabled person, or even a deaf/hard of hearing person!)! And, he's gonna see if I can resign early, or give me another 2nd chance, for them to keep me busy and challenging. Look! All my life, I wanna do something challenging and busy for me, something I can make my skills/talents more useful, not just sitting around watching and playing with the dogs, and cleaning up their pee and poop! God! Anyone can do that! I'm not that stupid I might even contact ADA (American Disability Act), and tell them about my problems at work (that will be my last resort, if the other 2-3 doen't work out). Anyway Chantelle, thanks for explaining about my problem to everyone. It's like you're ACTUALLY reading my mind and feelings. I guess after all these years on the ListServe, you and I learned a lot about each other, huh buddy? Thanks, I needed someone to clear it up for me and explaining how I'm feeling at work. Oh Well, wish me luck on Monday when my brother and I, go to my work and talk to Tara and those mean, disrespectful punk gals! Talk to you later, adios amigos! And also, waiting for a respond from my job coach and VR too! P.S. You guys know , right? Well, he wanted me to stay and keep this job. Just ignore those girls and so on, right? But, he doesn't get it! I kept on explaining it to him over and over, sigh! Ol' Chipper > peppermint_chey wrote: I have been thinking about what chip is talking about. You know what, i kinda know what he means to say but I dont think its coming accross right. I dont think its so much the cleaning thats the problem, its that noone wants to give him something other then cleaning. They see his dissability and figure he cant do anything elce. I struggle with that. I can clean at maccy d's or any other restaraunt no problem but thats no life. I dont want to be constantly cleaning. I dont want to be doing menial jobs because the world deams me as " too dissabled " and I have a feeling that is what is happening with Chip. I could be totaly wrong but I just feel strongly this way. I think Chip does have to always put effort in his job and cant be complaining. Work isnt always ment to be fun, but dosnt mean he has to just clean. I dont just clean at my job. I take care of the kids and talk with the parents. Chip maby should be alowed to talk with customers too. Who cares if he has a disability. Does anyone know what exactly Chip went to college to learn? I think maby someone in California should be an interviener between him and his job coach. I think his job coach should have him apply for more challenging jobs that arnt all about cleaning. Chip needs more stimulation and should be expected to do more then just clean, at the same time, Chip has to relize that work is not always going to be fun or easy for him. Guest guest
Chip, I am glad you have a plan. I find that going in attacking doesn't often lead to the result you want. Go in with a problem solving mind-set, what can we do to improve the situation and so on? You can do it. Kim > Hey guys, > Chantelle has explained it clearly about her theory about my problem.
