I know I haven`t posted in forever. I`m good at reading, no good at

sitting and typing. I haven't spent much time with my computer at

all. there are times I feel like giving up, but just keep plugging

along.

The reason I`m posting now is because I am just shocked with what

happened to my daughter, and if I could get away with it, I would give her old

doctor a black eye.

She hasn't felt good since last October. She was actually down to 98

lbs. Her so called doctor ran test and then seen fit to throw the

files in his desk and forget about it and her. Never told her a

thing.

About 2 weeks ago she took her records to a new doctor in the

building that she works. He was shocked. Her test showed that she

was full of gall stones and her gaul bladder was inflamed and

swollen.

He said it was time for surgery now. She was actually a walking time bomb.

Wednesday the surgery was done. He found that her gaul bladder was twice the

size that it should have been for a girl her size, Very inflamed and swollen.

She was full of scar tissue from all the attacks she has had in the last months.

He had to remove all that.

He told her to feel blessed that one of those attacks or small stones

didn't get stuck and kill her. I don`t know how she even went on that

long with so much going on, and this other doctor telling her

nothing.

He totally ignored the problem. Now she is on her way to healing, and hopefully

to a more comfortable life.

My thing is, I wish we could do something about doctors like this.

This is the same doctor that ignored the fact that she had

endrometriosis, and let it go so long she can never have children.

I'm not a person that can ever hate, but I will never say a good

word about this man, and what he put my daughter through. So please,

if you feel your doctor is missing something, get a second opinion,

but don't wait as long as she did.

As far as me, I'm living, not happy but living. I go to a

neurologist in July, because my doctor wants a second opinion before

he goes any further.

He's beginning to think that maybe my fibromyalgia and spinal problems are not

all thats going on, because I'm losing my balance way to easy. So I guess it's

more test and more time sitting

in doctors offices. I'm so tired of that.

Do many of you just feel like giving up and saying good-by to the

world? Don't worry, I'm too much of a coward to try that and my

husband depends on me too much. But I'm not sure about this. Just

hanging around until God says okay, it`s your turn, you pain can end

now. Life, I don't understand it.

Thanks for letting me stick my nose in after so long. Just wanted to

let you know not always to trust what one doctor says.

R.

Ive learned not to trust some doctors through bad experiences. Yet, some are

just marvelous.

I feel for you with all your problems. My husband has many back problems which

were made worse by a manipulation he had, after 2 adjustments he couldn't walk

or even stand up.

After months of therapy and loads of doctors he is coming along nicely. He has

spinal stenosis, neuropathy, pinched nerves, etc. etc. He is walking now but

uses a cane and doesnt walk like he used to - he walks from side to side - but

is walking.

It breaks my heart when I remember how he was a year ago. He has a marvelous

attitude and goes to the gym every day to work those muscles, so he will walk

straighter.

Our life has been on hold for 8 months. Tonight we're having a dinner party -

something I havent done in ages. Our kids have been great and come down to

Florida - have 1 in New York and 2 in the Carolinas. Didnt mean to ramble on,

but he went to 2 neurosurgeons and a neurologist who all agreed not to operate.

Just hang in there and take it one day at a time. Don't know how old you are -

we're in our early 70's and life has been good to us. Things will get better

for all of us.
