Would like to know if any of your departments have any restrictions or

rules for use of sick time. New rules for our City include: naming

specific illness of family member when taking time off for illness in

family; requiring dr's excuse irregardless of number of days off

(presently 3 or more days; specific description of illness; if not

satisfied with dr.'s diagnosis, can require an examination by another

dr. In all, there are now 8 pages for sick leave policy. Union rep

would like to make comparisons with other departments.

Thanks for any feedback,

Huh? I get sick and DONT see the doctor... Flu, colds, etc... Guess

they want you to come to work and pass whatever you have around to

your coworkers....

Dang, maybe I'm the only one that DOESNT go to the docotor EACH AND

EVERY time I'm ill.

Sounds like a conspiracy between your employer and and your local

area doctors.... (grin)

Good luck.

If you have a union or representation what do they hae to say about

this?? Really intrested about the family side of it - none of the

company business, and I agree with the otyher reply, dont feel good

or just need a stress day - want a dr note??? Is this or has it been

a problem there, misuse of sick time?? Just seems like a very strict

policy to me.
