solved blood donation problem...

I had posted earlier about not being able to get 2

blood donation appointments. I spent an hour or so

calling all around (what a bureaucracy!) and finally

managed to complain to the right person. (Thanks

Brad, for the good advice! It worked.) I finally

got an appt.. I had to zip down to the Red Cross

immediately but I got in. Now I'll have the 2

units of blood for my surgery.

I really wanted to do it because I have a history

of excessive bleeding. There is nothing wrong with me

(I've been tested). I just tend to clot slowly --

just barely within the normal range or slightly outside

the normal range. I've had 5 surgeries and one birth

and wisdom teeth pulled etc... and I've bled more

than average nearly every time.

I don't like the excessively tired feeling that comes

afterwards and don't want to deal with that, so I am

very pleased about giving 2 units in advance.
