I try so hard to post here from time to time and seem to never get the

time. My therapist and I have made a lot of headway to healing my own issues

and recognizes BOTH of my BPD parents were crappy but I can't fix the past,

only my present. I think I've come a long way. I read a lot but rarely post

because I am so busy. I have a work-at-home business where I train others

to work from home, lol. Anyway, between that, school, three kids,

therapy, a husband, and working....I am never around. However, I just started

taking risperdal and klonopin and my world has changed for the better. :)

You all inspire me, though.

False,

thanks - but thats not an option for me.

Its not me, not my style...

unfiortunately, there are people in the world that would do that, and not think

twice - im sorry that happened to you.

,

Thank you - Glad you saw it and enjoyed it. I wish you had a magic wand also -

wouldnt that be nice !

Now, have you seen Dead Poets Society ?

If you haven't, I suggest you Seize The Day and rent it. :-)

> Hi Steve. I've been gone for several days. There's been so much activity on

the board, as usual. whew! I thought of you last evening as I made popcorn and

put in the Shawshank Redemption dvd. It was a powerful movie, and I can see

why/how you could relate to it.

>

> I was so struck by Andy, the main character, who'd been jailed unfairly for 20

years, beaten, raped, and tortured - at least as much (if not more) by the

officials as the inmates. I thought of how he held on to his dignity, identity,

and abilites in the midst of all that. He had a dream of freedom that he

pursued, even though it had been forcibly, unfairly, and knowingly denied to

him.

>

> Steve, I have seen all of these qualities in you as well. It may not be as

easy for you to see in yourself, but it is definitely there. The worst part of

Andy's abuse came just before his escape, and there truly was redemption for his

spirit that he continued to pursue. You are continuing in this journey as well,

and I commend you for it. You share compassion and encouragement with others who

need it, as you continue to pursue your own freedom.

> I wish we had a magic wand for you, or even a crystal ball. We do not, but

even still there are many here who are behind you, supporting you and cheering

you on. Thanks for the encouragement to watch the movie. It was very powerful.
