Guest guest
, Glad you're feeling better - take it slow. Thanks for the information, appreciate it. I don't mind sweating if I'm " prepared " for it. In other words, when I'm wearing slacks and a nice shirt (luckily I don't have to wear a tie), getting sweaty is just plain uncomfortable. Maureen, It was 81 when I got back to Houston, with around 80% humidity. So it actually felt like 90 AND that was @ 2 am. Sacramento was 103 when I got there around 7:00 local time. Now, 123, that is just plain nuts. I certainly wouldn't want to live there. Our heat index right now is 112-115, but thankfully I'm in South Carolina where it is in the high 80's. Nice relief. You're right I never answered the question about increased itching during hot conditions. I know the heat bothered me more than it does now but I cannot honestly remember whether my itching was worse. Granted it is above 85 for about 9 months of the year. As you know we only have three seasons - Spring, Summer and Fall :-). Any way, my hands were always the worse and never really stopped itching, but that was due more to the combination of my eczema and PSC. I do recall that I didn't itch as much in the winter so maybe that's my answer. By the way, you're not missing much in Dallas (sorry Barby and Barb - even though you don't actually liver there). They really don't suffer from the humidity but they do get hot and for a long time. They have been around 100 or so for most days over the last 2 months. They have nasty winters, not snow but ice, and are in the lower region of tornado alley. I'll take the heat and humidity and the occasional hurricane scare.
