Guest guest
You are realy making my brain work.. lets see I forsure know of one paper that says this it is on line at cbcutah.com in the paper by Jepson MD Understanding Autism. I think I have read it other places too and DMSA is explained as a antioxidant when doctors try to explain why some childern improve when taking it. Another thing I have found out is that the product no-fenol will stop my son meltdowns and he is better right away (1/4 mixed with honey and water and given with eyedropper) This is related to phenols being aromatic rings and a alcohol group - adrenalin is the same chemical components ps I would like to see this product in a gummie bear form some day. What he says, exactly, is: " c) DMSA is a strong antioxidant so that may also be why it helps. " That is it. That is all it says. I have to say I am really doubtful about this. If you happen to Dr. Jepson, you might ask him for a source for this. I'm no expert on anti-oxidants, but an Rx med that stresses the liver does not sound like " a likely candidate " for an anti-oxidant to me. Sounds contrary to the idea. Again, if there is more info, I'd look at it, but I am not swayed at the moment. best wishes, Moria p.s. thanks for finding where you saw this! my brain hurts a lot from trying to remember where I saw stuff too! Guest guest
Moria DMSA is not a Rx drug; many people take advantage of parents of autisic kids and have DMSA compounded with flavorings and charge parents a whole bunch of money to do that. I have a some very good friends (2)that are pharmisits who can not find a source for DMSA throught there normal channels. Ann Your help is really great Thank you - I wonder why my son is so happy and focus when on DMSA? --- In , " moriamerri <moriam@e...> "

I think doctors shouldn't be allowed into medical school any more with liberal arts degrees - they should be required to have technical educations so they know how stupid stuff like that sounds. > > Another thing I have found out is that the product no-fenol will > > stop my son meltdowns and he is better right away (1/4 mixed with > > honey and water and given with eyedropper) This is related to > > phenols being aromatic rings and a alcohol group - adrenalin is > the > > same chemical components ps I would like to see this product in a > > gummie bear form some day. Ann However the stuff works, it is great that it works. It is hard to put digestive enzymes in things like gummie bears. The enzymes digest what you mix them with. That is what they are for, after all. Andy . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
