Guest guest
we are having a horrible time with Peyton (8, CHARGE) pulling out his g button (mic-key) and popping the balloon. He goes through about 2 buttons every week!! Cost on these buttons is about $100, but our medical supplies provider only gets about $32 back from our insurance company. I don't know how long our provider can continue to " eat " these losses (he doesn't charge us the difference). I wrote about this to the list a few weeks ago and got a few responses, but I was wondering if anyone else has any suggestions, the problem seems to be getting worse. If our insurance company would just pay them " cost " on the buttons, then it would be problem solved, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I've thought about switching to a BARD, but we had when Peyton was a newborn and we had trouble with it leaking at night. We're also concerned about him trying to pull it out like he does the mic-key. If he does, he could do some serious damage to his " hole " in his stomach. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
