Seriously, APCO, Powephone and the likes are excellent places to start, but you might also want to check with your state department of personnel and see if they offer a Certified Public Manager Class My department recently sent me to one and was the one of the best classes I ever took. A great eye opener about supervision and dealing with all types of situations, including discipline. It was 16 weeks, 1 day a week, but worth it.
