Belinda,

I am sorry to hear that you didn't get the job. I bet you were quite

impressive though. Chalk it up to experience. You are such a responsible and

wonderful person who has great potential! I hope you find the job that is right

for

you.

I wish you all the best!

Bel-

Too bad it didn't work out as you'd hoped. It's just one of those things. So

do your " grrr " and then get on with looking for the next opportunity. (And save

this email to resend to me when/if I don't get the advocacy job I'm wanting!)

Michele,

You will shine - without a doubt!!!!!! The piggy bank omen sounds right to

me. 11/12 what are the odds of that?

Roy has an interview Monday - a headhunter sought him out and asked if he

would ever close his company? He is going to interview on Monday, then we

will see - it seems that change is in the air everywhere.

Michele,

First, I love the idea of " being out of pigs " --somehow that just made me laugh

out loud!!

Second, I think you are right--having an interview on your birthday for a job

you want--well, seems that good luck would just be part of the deal!!!

So... Happy birthday and good luck!!! (and you WILL WOW them)

Windfall - I like that wording! I do have a feeling it is the answer to the

temporary question of how to live here, and how to support Kayla's dog shows

- she dreams of going to Westminster and Eukanuba as a Junior handler, and

..... Before we transition into a Roy, Kim and Dylan life. Kim

Kim-

That sounds wonderful -- dog showing etc. I am reading a book called " " --

actually, I'm on the second in the series but can't remember the name... anyway

-- It's written about a girl, , born in the late 30s with CP and how her

family supports her. Her parents began UCP. It's an amazing story when you

consider the times. At the point I'm at, is showing dogs at Westminster

(is that the big NY championship??) -- her dog wins! Can you tell I'm tired --

can't even remember about a book I was just reading last night -- but you get

the idea.

Belinda,

Sorry that the job wasn't what you had hoped for and didn't work

out...it's frustrating when job adverts and expectations are not made

clear from the beginning. However, the job interview itself would

have been a good experience for you to prepare for your next one -

which could be THE one!

Good luck with the interview Michele. I don't think I would complain if you

were to be our advocate, you know your onions (don't ask my why onions, the

English are very strange!). And a very happy birthday to you on the day.

Look forward to hearing about the double celebration.

Michele,

Yes Westminster is in NY. Let me know the name of the book, I know it is

about advocacy, but I have thoughts of maybe Dylan could show dogs some day

too. There is a teacher on campus who does agility, Kayla is in the same

agility club as her - she took Dylan out into an empty show ring to let him

see the equipment up close at one show we were at. It was after that I

started thinking maybe this was something he could do.

As i've probably written before now, certainly had a dog walking

business (with a teacher along with her) when she was at Perkins. She

also made dog bone treats which our Airedales loved. Martha
