Hello to everyone on the list and I hope all of you are currently doing well,

I have been doing plenty of research on Pancreatitis and I found out some

interesting facts. I found that there is an odd reoccurence with pancreatitis

in people that come from Sweedish descent. So my question is, do any of you

have sweedish blood in you, even from way way back generations? If you could

email me back as soon as you get this I would greatly appreciate it! thanks

so much again for all the information you all have given to me.

Tara,

My husband Jim was hospitalized this last time at SHANDS Hospital at the

University of Florida.

One of the MD's that is in charge of the TPN and such asked if Jim had any

American Indian blood. Jim is 1/16 Cherokee and when we asked why he told us.

There are several tribes that do not have a particular gene that processes

the fats in the body. There are Indians as young as 12 years that have had

gall stones and needed surgery. Jim is also part German. I have heard the

Indian theory several times now but not the Swedish

..

I don't think I have any Swedish. I've got English, Irish and some

Native American (way back up high in the family tree)...

While I don't have any Swedish blood that I know of, I do have a great deal

of Native American blood and French, Spanish (being from New Orleans).
