I think he does but not on the same day. From what I know of others who are

having bi-lateral resurfacing by Dr. Mont, there is about a 6-7 week gap

between the two surgeries. I don't think it's being done on the same day

any more at JRI.

Dr. Mont did a bi-lateral for Laurie Cuminale several weeks ago. There was

an interval of about a week between the two. Look back in the list's

messages from 12/19/00 for her e-mail to the list.

Both Mont and Amstutz have chosen to avoid simultaneous bi-lateral surgery

to reduce patient and surgeon risk. I just finished with Mont's team for

right side on 12/20/00 and left side on 1/3/00.
