Alice -

If he is saying new instead of knee it could be calyx. An exert from Stedman's

Electronic:

calx, gen. calcis, pl. calces

1. Syn: lime (1). [L. limestone]

2. The posterior rounded extremity of the foot. Syn: calcar pedis, heel (2). [L.

heel]

Radiographs term

This is a real bad tape. Hope you can help me with this S/L

There is a slight increase in the 4th and 5th intermetatarsal angle however

there is no clinical S/L calus or Kales or calis (but definitely not

callus) or (actually now listening for the umpteenth time knee might really

be new) knee deformity noted.

A: Hammer digit with medial dislocation, left 5th.

P: 1. Discussion of treatment options with patient including surgical

management.

2. Patient elects surgical management however would like to fit this

into his schedule as a home painter in his own business.

Thanks ahead because I know someone or many others are going to get this in

a breath....

LOL - you did say it was a really bad tape...

I just got a fax back with the correction. Don't know how I got what I

stated below when the answer is

No tailors bunion or knee deformity noted. YIKES.
