Guest guest
Should a stent be put in a very blocked area for precautionary reasons?? I have a small area in my duct that is very blocked. There was an attempt to stent it three years ago but it was abandoned since I was not tolerating it well and not under a general so I began thrashing. The procedure was abandoned. Pancreatitis then set in and the drs decided that nothing should be done at that time. Since then I have seen another dr. I have no symptoms but lately I am having some pain in my upper right quandrant that I have written here about lately. No fever chills, etc. I am wondering now if I should have this stented? I am trying to get into my dr at UCLA for advice. I have not been actively seeing anyone since I have no symptoms. To stent or not to stent??
