But, on the other hand, if nothing has happened by that point, you can probably start getting very excited! Wow! No special treatment because of the EP??? (or a lot do) of course mine makes you wait until 15dpt. Pretty goofy, huh? I found out I will recieve no special treatment b/c of my EP either. I was told they wont do u/s until 7wks. Well I am not sure if I am pg I will sit quietly. I will talk to my RE if my beta is positive. It will be 14 days since my HCG shot on Wed. This is going to be a hard week! I was just thinking about calling my GP on 10 dpt for a beta. How am I going to make it? I am so glad you are letting me get these feelings out. This will deffinately be the hard week. Sometimes I have to remind myself to be a good patient and listen to my dr...but I always ask questions first. Did you ask why they make you wait when other clinics test earlier? Also, with your history, are they going to atleast do a followup hcg/beta test? That should curve some of the ep concern if they atleast do the follow up blood work! I asked my nurse this morning when she called why some clinics test at 10dpt. She said she didn't know but they would just get residental hcg rom the Hcg shot. I have seen several girls on the IVF board at Fertile Thoughts get a lot of early low positives and then the next time they were negative. That could be from HCG. However, I had my Hcg shot it will be 2 weeks ago on Thursday, and they say that is all it takes for the shot to leave your system is 10-14 days. And Friday would be 10dpt. So I really think they could test ealier.The nurse asked me if I were going to cheat (they reccommend no HPTing) and Hpt. I told her that my dh didn't want me to, but I can see myself getting really anxious next weekend. Tomorrow will be one week! That makes it almost seem that I can make it, Oh btw, they will do one follow up beta one week later. And I am not happy with my ob, and will change if I am pg, so that isn't an option. I know it will be hard, but I am here pulling for you. -- Gained weight ..... Well, I finally got brave enough to get on the scales. I've gained 4 pounds since Thanksgiving. I had gotten up to 168 (trust me, 168 is very heavy for my 5' small frame), and then since my mother died in August I had lost about 20, but was still too heavy for my size. Now I've put 4 of that back on. Ho-hum .... Well, I quit smoking last night. I'm a new year's quitter! YAY!
