Guest guest
Hang in there, Pam and ! I know it seems like a long and miserable time, and is disappointing, but you'll get through this in time and it'll soon be nothing more than a bad memory. If you need a boost, read the patient web pages at Dr. Rutledge's web site. Sometimes re-visiting other patients' experiences, even the good ones, helps you put things into perspective and gives you hope. When I was having a tough time, I talked to many post-op patients on the phone, who Dr. Rutledge had call me to boost my spirits. He also asked many patients who were discharged while I was hospitalized to visit me before they left (Thanks again to all of you who called or stopped by -- you saved my spirits!). Anyway, talking to them helped me gain perspective on what my body was going through, and helped convince me that I had made the right decision to have the surgery. It also has sweetened my appreciation of my new health and energy. Hang in there, and don't give up hope. I know you've both had a tough time, but we are all here to support you.
