Guest guest
Aubrey, Ken seems much better, still has moments off and on where he looks kind of blank or is just very quite. I don’t “think” he remembers very much of what happened in the ER. Yesterday he asked several questions (not related to health) and when I answered, he didn’t seem to “get it or understand” what I was saying. But, it’s just moments now and again. He is still taking the Lactulose. My question: Is this our new normal? Can the HE go completely away and not come back for a time? Or can we expect it to stay till transplant? Will Ken have days/weeks of his old self when we can all relax? My husband & I feel terrible that we didn’t recognize something was wrong before it got so bad, we just didn’t know what to look for. I shudder to think he drove himself to the doctor. Thank you for your help in answering my questions, Barb in Texas Son Ken (31) UC 91 PSC
