Guest guest
Bobby had tons of cholangitis attacks pre transplant and has had 5 cholangitis attacks since his transplant 2-4-04...YUK, YUK, YUK!!! Cholangitis attacks - Barb Barb, Didn't see a reply to your question so I'll give my uneducated opinion. First, I assume you meant to say after transplant and not " before " . I would think that if PSC were to return, you would run the risk, probably lower, of having a cholangitis attack. Steve, Tim or even (research) Dave can probably give you a better answer. Darin P.s. Is Ken going to be listed? Does everyone get Cholangitis attacks before transplant? Or is it like some of the other symptoms - some do and some don't? Barb in Texas - Son Ken (30) UC 91 & PSC 99 P.S. Called the Hep at Baylor and spoke to his nurse about Ken...waiting to hear back.
Guest guest
Hello, I was reading your post about your husband having cholangitis attacks post transplant. Why is he still having these attacks? Has PSC returned? Also, My husband is being seen at UC and was wondering who his doctor was there? His is Dr. Fred Weber. Guest guest
Tina, yes, his PSC was rediagnosed on 10-04...Dr. Weber was his doc pre-transplant, now it's the whole liver transplant team...we were VERY happy with all of them...hope it is the same for you all!! Guest guest
HI!! Its Tina again, What are the chances of PSC coming back after transplant? That is very upsetting to know that it came back about 6 months later. Thanks Tina Cholangitis attacks - Barb > > > > > > > > Barb, > > Didn't see a reply to your question so I'll give my uneducated > opinion. > > First, I assume you meant to say after transplant and not " before " . > I > > would think that if PSC were to return, you would run the risk, > probably > > lower, of having a cholangitis attack. Guest guest
We were told there was a GOOD chance it would NOT come back...I think there was a big discussion that the 30% chance of recurrence is actually a little higher...but hey, look at Klug, the snowboarder...he is still PSC free after his transplant...it doesn't happen to everyone!!!
