Guest guest
The KakWorm (what a name, huh?) is a nasty one in that as a worm, it " worms " its way into your Windows registry so you may need to do more than quarantine the affected file. The Sarc.com website has info on detecting the worm in the registry and how to get rid of it (you may well need to do more than you have already). We had one professor who had a variant of it and we ended up reformatting his computer and starting over - ugh! If you have questions, feel free to email me offline. It is the WScript.KakWorm virus, and my computer caught it and quarantined it before it could do any harm. From what I could learn on the Sarc.com web site, it is one that you don't even open an attachment to get infected. Only reading an email will infect your computer. This is a good reminder to keep your virus scan program updated. Thankfully, mine was. --- end of quote ---
