Guest guest
We used oral DMPS for about 4-5 months. My son weighs 42# and we gave him 7.5 mg of DMPS and 16 mg of ALA every 3-4 hours 3days on and 4 off. My son improved as he did on the DMSA although never had a formed stool. He had horrible diaherria. We took 5 weeks off and treated him for yeast then started using DMSA thinking maybe we can keep the diaherria at bay. We recently, ran a Fecal Elements test from DDI using the DMSA and the ALA and Antimony was off the chart, lead was tipping into the red range, arsenic, nickel and uranium were in the middle of the yellow range. Mercury was in the high green. Because the lead and antimony was so high we've decided to stick with the DMSA for a while. My son has been chelating for 8 months and is on round 23. We will probably do the DMPS again after we finsh the bottle of DMSA. Hope this helps. P.S. With the DMSA we give our son 16 mg. We backed down on the DMPS because it lasts longer in his body and from Andy's book somewhere in the back he says it's hard to calculate the amount of DMPS in the system when you administer every 3 -4 hours vs the 8. Guest guest
most people on the list seem to use DMSA, ALA or a combination of the two. i would love to hear from those using DMPS alone, and DMPS with ALA. i will be starting this protocol in a couple of weeks after amalgam removal and adding in ALA after 3 months. i did some research on oral DMPS and found some bad stories on the DMPS backfire web site. one of the people who had a bad experience was theorizing that, among other things, their sensitivity to sulfates could have played a role in the bad reaction. i haven't been able to eat onions and garlic lately (i get allergic reactions with clogged sinuses and labored breathing) so i am a little concerned. all comments appreciated, either on list or privately. i chose DMPS because i have both mercury and arsenic toxicity, and it chelates both. thanks, julie _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
i did read all the files...and the bad experience i reference was oral dmps. that's why i hope some people currently using it can give me some firsthand experience. hopefully, positive! thanks julie moria wrote: If you have not already done so, I would suggest reading the ANDY_INDEX entries for all 3 (DMSA, DMPS, ALA). I can't comment on the sulfate thing (way over my head). I attribute the " bad stories " to using large single injected doses -- I believe some people on the backfire site also had amalgams at the time? (I really have not studied that site--- have only read parts...) _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
we use DMPS. my son is 5. I give 50mg. weight is 50lb. we have had no bad side effects. He was also high in arsenic and mercury. we been using this since may 02. We have seen improvement. We are now potty trained! at least 90%. no diaper at bed time. I still have to take him but it's worth it (still non-verbal) this a chelation benefit. Teacher at school kept telling me he's not ready. Worked on it all summer. I am so happy!!! also his restlessness is better. his need to change location has improved a lot. He will stay close to the family more. will sit in my lap longer and enjoy it. I also think before using DMPS he was having the numbness. He would never cry when hurting himself. Now even if he bumps his toe. He lets us know.
