Re:My Nada Being Absurd - Dementia or Just More BPD?

Thanks everyone that responded. I can't stand to think it's Monday and I SHOULD

call nada since it is a holiday and I have no 'excuse' not to in nada's mind.

Even when I was moving she told me so what if it took a lot of time to find

someone to fix her gutter pipe - I had 'nothing else to do'. I was moving an

entire apartment! I had no one to help me with that who would until the end.

Everyone hated my other apt. with the black mold, green mold, yellow mold and

the smells that created so they wouldn't stay more than five minutes. Some of

my closest friends did come the day OF moving - volunteered to move me (two

moved bags and boxes - hired a man and his son to move the furniture) and

another one of my best friends who has a bad back didn't move anything but she

volunteered to put my kitchen set and kitchen cart together (both big jobs as

it turned out) and I'm not good that way AT all so that was a blessing. If you

listen to nada, I HAVE no friends up here since she wants me down there and

thinks that if she says that enough I'll believe her, give up my life here and

run down there to take care of HER since that's what she REALLY wants.

My friend who says I should go down there and take care of nada as it is my

'duty' is from a close knit Italian family and she took care of HER parents and

lived with them until they both passed. But her parents were 'normal' and

didn't have BPD. Towards the very end her mother had dementia caused by strokes

but as far as I know she was never abusive of her. BIG difference and besides,

her life had always been there so naturally here too so different ball game.
