Hi ,

What do you mean exactly by hyperplastic toenails?

Jack's toenails are a strange shape with lots of ridges on them and he hates

having them cut.

I have to cut Bradleys toenails in his sleep.

He hates having his hair cut...it is like a wrestling match. He is due for

a cut now.

He used to eye poke and I thought that it was one of those self stim

behaviours. But he has stopped that. I even forgot about it until I just read

the

note. ck

hyperplastic toenails are very small and they do kind of have a

ridge too, they seem grow rather strange, it is hard to tell what is

toenail that needs to be clipped and what is still attach to the

skin.

our genetic doc told me it common in charge kids.

Aubrie freaks when I cut her nails!!!! And when shampooing hair -- as

if it truly hurts her. Her nails are also hyperplastic. I think this

means that they weren't completely developed at birth. Aubrie's nails

are getting more " normal " as she matures. Even as her sensory issues

have improved, the nail clipping and shampooing have not.
