Hi Cheryl,

God bless you for your GOOD ADVICE. I'm also thankful for you telling me

that nature's herbs (twin lab line) makes boswella. My friend is on the

bromelain-papain herbs only for a few days and has less swelling and pain,

and this is during her perid, when symptoms seem to MULTIPLY (usually.)

Thanks again for your help and concern. I will pray for your healing, too

now when I pray for my f riend's!

Burrascano's PA is now recommending cordyceps as well, which HAS helped my

fatigue, if I take it regularly. I wouldn't be able to survive without

things like my flax with borage oil and magnesium. I make a shake of

superfoods greens, flax, probiotics, and other stuff each day. I get

morning sickness with anything besides this in the am. Gingko also has

helped. I get a gazillion times worse if I don't see my chiropracter.

Interestingly, I have found I am much more difficult to adjust while not on

antibiotics.

Thanks Cheryl for the great info.

When I first went to the homeo doctor in CT, he put me on a full range of

vitamins and minerals. I have tried to keep up with his regimen over the

years, but since being in Michigan and getting too sick to care with no one

to turn to, I kind of gave up. I am back on a full range of stuff and it

makes a definite difference. Hearing what other people are taking is very

helpful and I will be adding some things to my daily doses.

Thanks.

Dr. Bernard Raxlen in Greenwich. This was in 1994, so I do not know if he is

still practicing or still taking Lyme patients, but you can try. His office

is in a very neat old victorian home. He plays chamber music in the

examining rooms and sits in a rocker while talking to you. It is very

soothing. He is, however, very expensive and he wants payment up front, but

I think his course of treatment got me off to a good start, although up until

recently, it has been kind of downhill since then, especially since leaving

NY.

Let me know if you find he is still around.

Peace, Helen

Hi Helen! You're welcome. ;o) I am wondering which homeo you saw. The one I

saw was in CT as well. He knew his stuff, but was a little rough around the

edges. You can email me the name privately if you'd prefer.

cheryl@... I'm just curious, really.

What is the full range that he put you on?

Keep the faith! Keep us updated on how you're doing with what you're adding in.

Burrascano shared at the seminar that his patients who have done the best are

those who have strictly followed his protocol, including the supplements he

suggests and exercise.

Hi Cheryl,

That's strange because he put himself out to be a homeopath - a naturalist -

that's the main reason I went to him, even though the price was a little

steep for my pocketbook. I'm sorely disappointed that he is not, but not

disappointed in the treatment I received. No, I guess I don't know what a

true homeopath is if he is not one, since I was under the impression he was.

I know he treated my thyroid with a natural thyroid hormone that he kept in a

jar in his office - he said he got it from Australia. It's the best my

levels have ever been regulated. My doctor now has me on the armour thyroid,

which I guess is the same idea (it's not the synthetic), but it still isn't

quite the same. I sure do wish I new where he got that " magic " thyroid pill.

If you know of a true homeo around the Detroit area in Michigan, who has been

practicing for a while, I would very interested. It sounds fascinating.

Maybe yours can recommend someone here.

Do they believe in antibiotics for the Lyme, and other bacterial disorders?

It sounds a bit like the chiropractor profession. My husband's

chiropractor's son just finished 9 years of medical, chiropractic and

homeopathic training. When I go in with my husband, he is constantly putting

what he calls beads on the back of my neck that I am to push every once in a

while to stimulate the immune system. Interesting stuff.

I went to a homeopathic physician and the first thing she told me was to get

antiobiotics to treat the bacteria and she would help me with easing the

" symptoms " but could not kill the bacteria. I don't know if all homeopathics

feel the same way or not. Mona

Hi Sweetie!Dr. Raxlen is not a homeopathic doctor. My understanding is he is a

conventional MD who has taken on other therapies. This is a good thing,

although he wouldn't have quite the training in natural therapies as someone who

was trained specifically for that. I see a rheumatologist who is also an

acupuncturist and does some of this, but I do not feel it is the same as when I

have seen alternative practitioners. MD's treat disease. Natural docs don't

really care to know what disease you have, as they treat the person, and

everyone is so different.

Anyway, are you familiar with homeopathy? In addition to your symptoms, a

homeopathic doctor would ask things like what side to you sleep on, do you

prefer small groups or large, any food craving, they observe your personailty

and treat accoriding to that. They want to know your likes and dislikes, affect

to changes in the weather, etc. Lke if I told you what my homeopathic doctor

gave me, it would be complete useless for you, cause you aren't me. ;o) Doctors

need extensive training in homeopathy, it's not something that can be easily

picked up. In fact, you know how MD's here go on to specialize in different

fields, like cardiology, neurology, etc? Well, in germany one of those fields

they go on to specialize in is homeopathy. Homeopathic formulas are different

than vitamins and herbs.

Dr. Raxlen is still practicing. I believe he asked the herbalist I saw to join

his practice, although she didn't want to be limited in time spent with a

patient.

Youbetter get to feeling better!

take care,

cheryl ;o)

Hi All,

I have taken Cordyceps for over 3 months now. I definately notice a

difference in stamina and less fatigue. I was skeptical at first

but follow all of Dr. B's guidlines to the " T " . He researched so many

supplements over the years and is very sure about these. Since I get

vitamins and many other things for all four of us that Dr. B recommends, You may

contact me if you are interested in recieving what he

thinks are standard supplements for chronic Lyme disease.. The 800# is correct

then you give an ID code if you order. It is, US#0424816 and

whatever you need is delivered to your door. For over 40, I take LifePak Prime

which is a superior vitamin. These are unique

supplements--Pharmaceutical grade and USP certified and the only products

clinically proven to raise antioxident levels in the blood. Those

of us with chronic illness have symptoms related to cellular damage and

deficiencies in certain essential nutrients. Double-blinded,

placebo controlled studies, and in one case direct assay of biopsy specimans

have proven the value of the supplements Dr. B strongly

recommends. The name for the Cordyceps herb is " Cordymax " . There are other

LifePac vitamins for other age groups. I know Dr B takes all

these things. I figure if he choose this particular supplement line when he

could have chosen anything he wanted, I am following the best.

Since I have had my entire family taking thier own for over a year, I'd be happy

to answer any questions you have if I can. Wishing us all

the glimmer of the feeling of wellness that always gives us hope. If I can see

improvement, you can.

Love and better days for all of you,

Helen in NJ

Hi Bernadette,

Dr Burrascano is very particular about supplements. The LifePac Prime is

what I take (over 40) religiously along with all the other supplements on his

list. For a months supply (4 vitamins in a little pack--2 packs a day) it is

about $99.00. The Cordymax he recommends is by far superior to formulas seen in

health shops. I also take that 2-3 times a day. To order you call

1-800-487-1500--Us#424816. Hope this helps. Pharmanex will send you a booklet if

you ask for it with your order which will explain everything about these

supplements.

Hi,

My name is Rusty. I have not posted in probably a year. My wife who

works in early intervention with children with Autism at Children's

Therapy Center in Kent, WA. has talked me into building a webpage

about natural treatments for Autism. I have a number of top rated

health sites ranked high in the search engines. I am familiar with

many of the things being done but I am looking for more information.

I would like to here from you about what you are doing. What

suppliments you take, what are some of you favorite sites for

information. You can post it to the group or contact me direct at

Thank you
