a,

Thanks for the water info. I am also a water-aholic (SP). I have very sensitive teeth so I am not sure about me and ice. It is something I have stored away in the OLE memory banks for later use.

66+ounces and still gulping,

Not enough!

How much water do you drink in a day? What are your best tips for getting

your fluids in?

For those that work in an office try filling a cleaned empty soda bottle

full of cold water & freezing it the night before. Take it out in the

morning & bring it with you. The water will melt over the course of the day,

remain cold and be on hand for you.

I definitely surpass the 4 glass minimum per day. But then again,

I've

been a water-aholic my whole life, so I'm not surprised. One of my

biggest concerns going into surgery was that I wouldn't be able to

gulp

water any longer...I don't even miss it now! (Truly, I don't!)

Being one of those wretched office types, I tend to have a glass of

water near by at all times. I've done the frozen thing and actually

have gotten lots of others into doing it too. I take water breaks

every

few minutes if need be...just to get away from my area, co-workers,

boss, work, etc. They're real helps, those water breaks!

I've noticed on weekends I tend to neglect my water so I've taken

steps

to help, including keeping bottles of it in my car and whole frozen

bottles in the freezer so I can just grab and go.

Ever since my surgery, I've become an ice aficianado (spelling?).

Can't

get enough of the stuff, and it is my preferred way of getting my

water

intake for the day.

Don't fill it to the top or it will explode as the freezing water

expands. Leave at least an 1 or 2 at the top.

Depending on the size of the soda bottle, one may not be enough. Although

I'm still pre-op, I know we need at least 64 oz. a day, if not more.
