We've beem to every conference so far and intend to continue that way

indefinitely. However, I haven't begun any work on funding for the trip so

I may be very disappointed. I plan to work on it in Jan --and I hope that

the whole family will go. Usually, it's me, Aubrie, , and my mom or a

teen sitter for the kids. It is amazing to meet everyone. You will love

it!

Oh-- we are in IL.

Bill, my husband, will probably stay home w/ the boys, and I will

probably fly in with Sara. I am really looking forward to it

already! We are north of Atlanta in Woodstock- so if you drive

you'll probably pass us! We're open for pitstops...... that goes

for everyone passing through! :)

I'm glad you will be able to go and bring . It is the best experience!

And you'll definitely want her with you to show her off to everyone. We all

love to meet other CHARGErs! There is childcare available at the

conferences. It's staffed with volunteers and they do their best to meet

each child's needs while in their care. They have fun activities etc.

But I have always brought my mom or a teen sitter to take care of the kids.

Then I can come and go as I please to sessions, visit with parents and

professionals in the eve and night, etc. I'd hate it if I had to go to bed

with my little one when there were still grownups awake and talking to be

done! And at lunch and break times, I can relax or visit and not have to

run and check on or feed the kids.

At the last conference, it was 11 pm or so. The sitter and I were taking

Aubrie up to go to bed and then I was heading back down to the lounge where

parents and professionals were gathering. I was so dead tired. I get

emotionally worn out and tired from information-overload. I was telling the

sitter that I was heading back down as soon as they were settled. Aubrie

fussed that she wanted to go to cuz, " There are people that haven't met me

yet!! " It was so funny!

It's fabulous that they have childcare at the conferences, but I like it

even better when I bring my own. Just a thought for you if it's something

you'd be comfortable with.
