Guest guest
I know this has been discussed in the past, but I'm still not sure I understand. What role could Vineceptine (sp?) play in the healing process with our kids? Does it help with inflamation sort of like HBOT? I'm considering HBOT but am taken back by sticker shock. Any other suggestions for gut/brain inflamation? Kerri
Guest guest
Vinpocetine is a cognitive enhancer and improves blood flow to the brain. Almost all cognitive enhancers work well alone but even better when combined with others like aniracetam, piracetam, hydergine, etc. With cognitive enhancers, what people find is that focus, motivation, processing, retention, and comprehension improve. We find that adhd symptoms improve dramatically. My husband and I use it ourselves along with our asd son and we find the difference remarkable just taking aniracetam. I only have our asd son on a combo since it's expensive to have the entire family on it. Guest guest
Cheryl, Thanks for the info! Do you see a DAN! doctor for your son? Did he suggest the cognitive enhancers? If so, can you tell me what specific symptoms was being targeted. Do you also do the diet and other supplements? Two last question, Does the vinoceptine taste ok and how do you administer it to your son? Thanks, Kerri To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, February 24, 2010 11:50:49 AMSubject: Re: Vineceptine? HBOT? Other? Guest guest
We had started before seeing our DAN. We started them to help control ADHD. He has huge focus issues. My son swallows pills so giving them has always been easy. Vinpocetine is a sublingual tablet so you could crush it and put it in food. It doesn't taste bad. Vinpocetine helps improve blood flow to the brain and really can do some wonders. Comprehension and processing improve. We have a slew of supplements and Rx medications but we are not on the diet. We did diet for 2 years with no results so I stopped wasting the money there and put it where it does the most good.
