Sally,

I did not have the Barium test. I believe Dr. Thayer told me that he

flushes the pouch and checks for leaks before he closes.

Alice,

Thanks. That sounds good to me.

He just had me have the barium swallow preoperatively to see my hiatal

hernia which he said was " as big as my handbag " . Sound like him? He is

going

to fix that while he is in there.

Thanks. Sounds good to me however leaks are checked for so long as

they are checked. Again thanks, I scare easily nowadays. I have gone

through

a lot for him preoperatively. See you Thursday. Sally

Sally,

Your fear is totally understandable. He’s nutty sometimes, but don’t ever be

afraid to press him with questions or ask for tests or whatever. He’ll take

care of you.

Maura,

Thanks for your message. Hopefully, he is testing during the surgery

before closing.

How are things going for you? Are you going Thursday night? I plan to

be there. Sally
