Is Ambien the one associated with 'sleep driving"? I have a friend who was taking the "sleep driving" drug and she changed her password on her computer during her sleep and then couldn't get into it the next day. Another night she was thinking as she went to sleep 'I've GOT to clean the fish tank tomorrow'. When she woke up in the morning her fish was gone. She has never found the fish. She's hoping she didn't eat it. LOLI normally fall asleep easily. The only time I have trouble sleeping is when I have severe pain or if I'm very depressed. How were you diagnosed with RLS? Sharon This email is a natural

hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects. cymbalta

I am taking cymbalta for pain. I had horrible back spasms and the

cymbalta helped me. It took a long time for my body to get use to it.

Dr. started me out very slow. It did kill my appetite but that soon

went away. That was one side effect that I wish had stayed. lol

I also tried Lyrica and it gave me a buzz at night. It kept me up for

two nights and NP said to stop taking it.

Now I take something called sinemet for rls and it works. It is

normally perscribed for Parkinsons but now Drs are giving it for rls.

It works well for me.

Sleep is a problem for me. My Psychiatrist has prescribed ambian cr

for 3 weeks to be taken with rozerem. The rozerem did not work for me

but she and the neuro says that it takes at least 3 weeks for it to

work for some folks. Ambian works great but I am afraid of addiction. I

will stop the ambian after 3 weeks and just try the rozerem.

Yes, so far as I can recall, it IS Ambien! If I ever had trouble

sleeping, I think that I would just take Benadryl or Diphenhydramine,

an anti-histamine! This entire classification of medications sounds

very dangerous to me.

My old sleeping remedy...warm milk with a shot of brandy (if you have it and can drink, can be omitted) and a little bit of sugar. Hot cocoa made with milk also works. Nyquil as a last resort...I take 5-HTP and magnesium before bed and NEVER have trouble sleeping Hugs Akiba -- Re: cymbalta Yes, so far as I can recall, it IS Ambien! I'm glad to give you a laugh. My friend is still not at the stage of laughing about it though. But I think it's very funny! She searched her entire house, checked drawers to see if she had tucked the fish away somewhere, looked in the freezer, trash.... all over. She said she just hopes she gave him a "burial at sea" instead of swallowing it. I love to tease her about it and she is slowly getting a sense of humor about it. Poor fish!hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. • 1 year later...

Hi

I have neuropathy and fibro and I take 60 mg Cymbalta at bed time. I also

experienced severe nausea and constipation when I first started taking the

medication.

However, I found as long as I take it just before going to bed, I don't

experience the nausea nearly as bad. As for the constipation, my alternative

medicine doctor suggested taking magnesium at bedtime as well and that seems to

work very well for the constipation.

The relief I get from the pain has far out weighed the side effects, but every

person reacts differently to medication. If you choose to give it another try,

you may get some relief from the side effects with the things I suggested as

well as eating a small snack just before taking it. Apples are really good if

you can eat them because they also help with the constipation.

I've been on Cymbalta for over a year now & it has helped with my

depression and my pain. I take several medications everyday but I take

the Cymbalta only at night.

It made the side effects easier to deal with for the first few weeks and on my

better days it helps me sleep at night. My pain doctor started me on a low

dosage for 2 weeks and then changed it to the 60mg that I've been on ever since.

A couple of the medications I take I had to try more than once before

I could get past some of the side effects so it might be worth looking

into one more time.
