Guest guest
this is the second post on this the first didn't take. I just wanted to say that it is great to be able to talk to people who are familar with jaw surgerys. My family thinks I am crazy for deciding to have this surgery. They seem to think I look fine and that if all i want is my teeth straight then just do that. That is one option, But my ortho really seems to think that the operation would be the best outcome. I had a second opinion and he said " If i want to have the perfect outcome and model look then do the surgery but if all I want is my teeth straight then do that. I hate making the decision on this. It is really stressing me out. I feel that I would like to do the surgery if it will benefit me the most but I am still hesitant. I have appointment in 3 days to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled and 4 bicuspids. then braces and eventually surgery 4mm mandibular advancement. I have written before but I have a some more questions. 1. Will my jaw return to normal strength after the surgery and how long before this happens? 2. How long does it take for the bone to heal? 3. Is it very difficult to go through? 4. and finally is it worth risk??? I am 31 male and I dont mean to sound like a whimp but this is a big decision for me. thanks
