Guest guest
Loving it here . It is so much faster and quieter then the old LEIN system. and not as messy as the old one too!! I can edit what to print out verses having the whole return especially when you run common names, i.e. smith, williams, johnson, etc. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions, Phil Nowacki Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety Ann Arbor, MI
Guest guest
I love it - so much nicer to use - and many many more features. If you have any questions specific to it - let me know. Kent Co. SO Grand Rapids, MI
Guest guest
, We've had ours up & running for a bit and have had our ups and downs with it. It will take some time to adjust to it, gettign familiar with where everything is and/or what CORE calls it. For some reason they have changed the name of some of the screens from what DATAMAXX had. (We had someone go through both systems and make a list of what each screen was called in each system for quick reference. That seemed to help at the beginning. Like Phil said, the printing is much easier and you don't waste 50 feet of paper when you run a or . That being said, we have found that it is a little more difficult for some dispatchers to check the close hits on the screen instead of on paper when you have a lot of them. We are still finding things, yesterday we tried to run veh's registered to an address and had to run people registered to an address first to get last names. We thought with DATAMAXX that you could do veh's to an address without a last name. . . Like I said, little things but enough to drive you crazy until you get used to it. I would recommend someone from your department go to the user's group meetings though, might help with any hints or tips. There's a meeting scheduled for Feb 25th in Lansing, actually 2 sessions, morning and afternoon and they are bringing in people from LEIN. Perfect opportunity to get everyone in the same room to get some questions answered. If you have any questions just ask . . .
