benzethonium chloride---a mercury product???

I was recently prescribed some ear drops which contain benzethonium chloride in

them. The drops seem to be making my condition worse. Is benzethonium chloride

related to mercury at all?

(The last time that I was prescribed drops that ended up making my ear condition

worse, I noticed they had thimerosol in them. Naturally I stopped them

immediately! Since then I have been careful to read the ingredient labels on all

ear drops, and thought I was safe with benezethonium chloride....but now I'm

beginning to wonder.)

Does anyone have a list of substances that are actually mercury in disguise?
