Hi. I just started myself and bought EAS BetaLean at GNC which I was told is

EAS's new version of the Phen-Free. Basically its a fat burner. I noticed a

little heart racing but then checked the label and there is caffeine in it.

Does caffeine give you heartburn? I can cause the " racing " feel. Lots of

diet products have that effect from the caffeine. I dont take near the dose

listed on the bottle. It says 3 pills/ twice a day. I'm only doing one pill

2x day. They're huge horse pills too.

I can see how hard that would be. We stocked our home gym with separate sets

of dumbells ranging from 3lb to 45lb for DH and I. After one week I'm beyond

using the 3lbs and I'm sure we'll need to buy heavier sets soon for DH. It

takes up a lot of space but is very convienent since we dont need to mess

with adding and removing weights. We just need to buy a rack to support them

all. Right now they are lined up against the wall in our upstairs bonus room.

I agree. Its much thinner then the Chocolate Cream Myoplex Lite Shakes that

I tried. I'd compare it to a diet with the taste of added protein

powder. I think the thinner consistency is what makes it easier to take.

I stocked up on Shakes and bars this weekend. GNC in my area had everything

on sale plus he gave me another 20% off for buying their club card. The

employee told me their newer Tropical mixes (Pina Colada, Orange Jubilee,

Peaches and Cream, and Banana cream) are good. DH liked the Banana and I

tried the Orange last night. Very orange-ey but not bad. DH liked the

Vanilla cream - says it takes like Yellow cake batter. I didn't try it yet

but it did smell like cake batter to me too.

I bought the Myoplex lite Raspberry and Chocolate Fudge bars. The boxes were

on sale for $14.99 each + the 20% discount I got. That's just $1.19 a bar.

I tried and like the Raspberry. The employee there said the Chocolate Fudge

are the best but I have yet to try. Before I started DH's Dad and step Mom

turned us on to the program and gave us some Myoplex lite Apple Spice and

Toffee crunch bars. I really liked the Apple spice.

The GNC employee said of all the protein shakes on the market, the Myoplex

are one of the best and one of the most popular brands. Seems BFL is very

popular in town here. I had never heard of it until DH's family showed us

the book during Christmas vacation.

Now that I'm stocked up, I'm following both the diet and exercise plan to a

" T " as of this Saturday, my official start date. I'm down 5 lbs (I assume

all fat as I've been getting stronger) over the past two weeks when I was

really only doing the weights. Wish me luck!

Ellen,

Yes, there is a way to do it. Use the Awareness cleanse. It is specifically

designed to be a gentle VERY thorough cleanse. The lady that I am working with

personally who started out weighing 365 started with just the digestive colon

cleanse part of it, which is the product called " Experience " She said it made

her feel so much better just taking this product right before bedtime. She has

now signed up to be a distributor herself. (It only costs $10.00) I have

another personal friend that is quite over weight also, he started on the entire

cleanse and rebuild program which also kills parasites. I just saw him last

night and he has lost quite a bit of weight. He told me he is feeling so much

better, he is almost obnoxious! He said he has more energy, is actually

sleeping better, and has changed his food cravings. He said his wife is so

jealous because he is losing weight and she isn't! He said he is also not so

depressed. (He was taking anit-depressants, not sure if he still is.) My

sister who you might remember has struggled for years to lose about 200 extra

pounds has been on the Awareness cleanse for several months. She is losing and

feeling so much better. She is now a distributor too, even though I told her

she could have products at my cost, she wanted to start her own business. This

is my awareness page http://www.karma.awarenesshealth.com The colon parasite

cleansing program is the cleanse and rebuild starter pak. The products in that

kit are the " Experience, the digestive and colon cleanser " , the " Family Clear,

which is a larger bottle of the parasite killer " , and " Harmony " which is a

liquid that has a lot of enzymes and rebuilders in it.

Anyway, my mom and sister are both teachers and they are doing the Awareness

cleanse with no problems with the bathroom problems that you are worrying about.

Also, this cleanse doesn't need to do enemas, the Experience takes care of that.

Karma,

thanks for the encouragement...

I will concentrate on the breathing...

As for the parasite clense, is there any way to do it slower but to

accomodate a work schedule? I am teaching now and have only 1 lav as a

resource for during the day!!!

Or I could try it over February vacation. Is there a slower way but more

convenient for the working gal? Maybe that is what I need. I take the

Lessman Inner clense almost daily. But I have no energy!! I come home

from school and I am wiped. The one thing that I noticed on BF was that I

had less energy and was more tired!! I never could figure it out...

You can let me know privately if you want. I appreciate all of your help.

Ellen

This shows how frazzled I have been...to think I haven't thought of this

myself! Thanks for pointing out the obvious...lol.

The only concern I have for doing it here and leaving it here is if my

husband finds the sandwich. He thinks we should check with 's doctor

first. The same doctor who doesn't think the GFCF diet makes a difference,

but said " it couldn't hurt, so try it " . Also, the same one who insists the

vaccines are safe and also the same one who doesn't like to give referrals

for my daughters to the chiropractor (but he does at my insistence). I gave

my husband all the links, including this club...as well as the houston site,

etc. and told him to read up on it, then we can talk. I waited a month and

his e-mail just sat there, so I said the hell with it and went on with it

myself. He is usually with me on these decisions, but I wasn't going to wait

a year for him to get his butt in gear!

By the way, I am not changing doctors, because even tho we don't agree on a

lot of things....I do have him to thank for sending for her evaluation

at 15 months. As a matter of fact, HE insisted on it. He also kept pushing

the importance to me of the many hours of Early Intervention that she should

receive...and I like him...despite some of our differences. Also, although

he'll let his point known, he also listens to mine and doesn't just close me

out. That's why we are sticking with him.

Thanks again for the info!

We've heard similar information. Before each surgery, my daughter

would have a " Visual field " test proving that her vision was limited by

her upper lids. I also sent articles & pictures to my insurance

company because they hadn't heard of it; also had the oculoplasitic

surgeon call them.

blepharophimosis Re: paying for surgery

I am not an expert in insurance or any of this issues but

first I would look at the reason they are denying your claim, do they

think it is cosmetic? Because it isn't, your child is around the same

age as Lily and if his vision is inhibited the surgery is necessary

for

his development.

Have you spoken to your employer?

Other options would be public assistance, changing insurance

companies,

changing jobs. Can another family member put your son on their

insurance?

I am so sorry you have to deal with this on top of having a little

baby

who needs surgery.

Hey :

(gf) I was initially put on 400 m.g at diagnosis, 600 I couldn't tolerate at

all. Over almost 4 years I have been on 300 and this man is 65. Though I am a

wee bit younger, it could have something to do with overall health, I recall

another sister on 300 as her standard dosage from 2 years ago (my 2 cents only).
