Guest guest
, I'm not sure where you live but I would recommend e School for the Deaf, Northampton, MA they do what's called CEE (Comprehensive Educational Evaluation....) give them a call at 1- or 1- and tell them you are interested in a CEE - that's if you are in the area. I'm sure someone out there has had e do a CEE for their child and can tell you about their experience. Guest guest
, Hi, I can tell you some of the tests that both of my girls have had and have proved to be fair and informative. Holly was 6 at the time of these tests and where given. These tests where administered at St. ph's school for the deaf, although I do know the school district can also provide this testing. I would though caution you to make sure who ever they chose to administer these are appropriatly trained. Leiter International Performance Scale-Revised (Leiter-R) This test evaluates, visualization and reasoning battery Beery Buktenica Test of Visual Motor Intergration Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals- Preschool (CELF-P) This tests covers, Lindguistic Concepts, Basic Concepts, Sentence Structure, Recalling Sentences, Formulating Labels, Word Structure Peabody Picture Vacabulary Test- Third Edition (PPVT-111) Peabody individual Achievement Test -Revised ( PIAT-R) was also evaluated at the age of 7 with the following: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children -lll (WISC-lll ) Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals- Third Edition ( CELF-3) Also both Peabody tests. I hope this offers some evaluations to look at
Guest guest
Martha, Thank you for your response. is fairly close. They have almost 9 month to a year wait for the test.(I called them a while ago) So I was wondering if there was a secific test I could ask for that would do a good, all around test for speech and language. Also the test costs well over a thousand dollars. I will call them if the eval shows everything is age apropriate. (I will know the school picked the tests that show her strengths and not where she needed the work) I was wondering if there was a test I could request at her 3 year eval that is reccomended for severe hearing impaired children. Again, thank you
