Our surgery was on the same day and I was only 2 pounds heavier than you, yet you've lost 100 lbs and I've only lost 89....... I was on a plateau for over 2 weeks and had begun despairing of ever getting past it....but it finally happened. is really disappointed with her weight loss.....we're on our way to the Drs. office now to see if she's lost any since last week....I'll keep everyone posted. No matter how fast or how slow we all loose weight, the key thing to remember is how great you feel.... your health improves every day! In the past any weight loss effort was always defeated because you knew in the back of your mind that it was coming back with another 15 or more... gang, hold you heads high.. if you loose 5 pounds this month or if you loose 25 pounds.. it is gone forever! Thank you Dr. Rutledge for developing this procedure and performing surgery on us... without your skillful hands, we would all be fighting a loosing battle.. Now we are winning the battle! I saw Deb and she did really well. had a few problems but went home today. I tried to see Cheryl but she was knocked out. Didn't get a chance to meet Rudie. I told my husband that I turned around and there was this beautiful woman with the face and voice of an angel and it was you! I can not tell you how much it meant to me to meet you -whom I had received so much information, encouragement and support from on these lists. And you made me feel so much calmer that night. Yesterday was a not so great day because of all the travel but I feel better today. I'm a little confused on how to take all this medicine even though it tells you how. So anyone who reads this -can you take the Carafate (or whatever its called) after having had something to drink? It says take on an empty stomach but if you're trying to take in fluids every half-hour or so you stomach is never truly empty, is it? Please help? Also some suggestions of things that make the stomach feel good? When I put juices or cool liquids in, there seems to be a sort of surprised feeling - not quite a pain but it causes me to wince and it not a good feeling. I tried a bit of warm tomato soup and that was great. So was a spoonful of yogurt this morning with the Prilosec. Anyway Katy you are the greatest and I thank you from the innermost reaches of my heart for coming to see me.
