Hello ladies, just want to thank you all for such a

warm welcome. My levels are declining fast--they went

from 20,000 to 14,500 to 8,646 (today).

Is anyone out there like me--feeling like they're

getting older by the minute? I'm 34 and still trying

for my first. Waiting for my levels to go down is

going to drive me crazy!

Pam--Although I just joined, I'm also happy to hear

that you are moving forward with adoption. If you're

anything like me, you like to be moving forward

towards results--and that's just where you're headed.

I wish you the very best.

Toni Ann--I understand why ttc again is so scary.

Going through two eps is more than anyone should have

to bear. Keep me posted.

Tara--I'm hoping mine was just a fluke too--but I'm

prepared for whatever they tell me. The nurse said

IVF is always an option if the tubes are damaged.

Vicki--The ruptured tube sounds like a true nightmare.

How long ago did it happen?

a--Thanks for the HCG benchmarks. Your level

was similar to mine. I hope your levels continue to

decline. It must be frustrating seeing them slow down.

Kim--Thanks for the hug and for sharing your

experience. I wish you the best of luck with your IVF

this month. Is this your first one? A good friend of

mine just went through it and is learning the results

of her bloodtest today.

Carolyn--We are at the same stage. I'm 2 weeks past

metho and you're 2 weeks past surgery. Does the

recovery take long for surgery? You are in my

thoughts.

I am 33.5, ttc #1, ep was my first (and only) pg. How many of us here

are in the same boat?

Hey, there was an article in NYTimes about genetic basis for aging, at

least in yeast. Some scientist found a gene that made yeast live

much longer, but at the expense of fertility. What a choice, huh?

YIKES...I know what you mean about worrying about getting older everyday. I

am 35 and TTC our first....I had surgery for my EP on July 20th. My right

tube ruptured so I had a laporotomy. My levels dropped very quickly as a

result and I had AF 28 days after surgery and she has been arriving on time

ever since. I was supposed to have DIUI this weekend but my RE had to go out

of town, so I had to put it off a month and of course I could only think

about being a month older....

Hi,

my rupture happened the week after Thanksgiving last year, 12-2-99 was

the day of my surgery. What was really scary was that I was in no pain

at all the day of surgery, it was a good thing I had called the Dr.'s

the week before or no one would have had a clue what was going on.
