Guest guest
This is the Conference I attended the last two years, and talks about the methods I used to recover my children. These doctors are so ahead of the game, that it's an honor to listen to them. I love their methods and their personality. They walked around talking to parents and giving out free advice and such. There was also thousands, and I mean thousands of dollars in free gifts given away last year. I can not say that will happen this year, since they were donations by the vendors, which were so intelligent, many of them practitioners and scientists. I could have spent the whole time just visiting vendors. Since some were practitioners, they were doing " free " treatments, and Dr. used his QN therapy, which is unbelievable, on people from the audience that we knew didn't know him, and we saw immediate results. All I can say, is that if your child needs the best doctors and treatments, you may eventually end up using the stuff relayed at this Conference. I loved it to pieces! Most of the vendors are alternative-based, and had various expertise on homeopathy, electrosmog, and things I am not even privy to understanding. (And no I am not getting paid for saying any of this, just in case someone thinks so. I do advocate for the LIA Foundation though, because I feel they are on the right track.) Guest guest
: Lyme is an immune-suppressing pathogen. Are you familiar with AIDS? With AIDS, you get HIV and show no symptoms for years, until your immune system is burned out, and then you stock-pile pathogens and toxins until you die. Sorry for the bluntness. The HIV does not kill you, the pathogens one stock-pile does, such as pneumonia pathogens. With Lyme, Bartonella, mycoplasmas, HTLV-1, XMRV, Syphillis, and Bartonella, you also get immune suppression, so symptoms often do not show. It's possible to get sick at first before your immune system burns out, but many report that most who test positive for Lyme have no memory of a tick bite, nor get the rash. So, basically, it's this under-working immune system that makes one vulnerable to vaccines and to start stock-piling pathogens and toxins. It appears that one is more likely to test positive for Lyme if they have few or no apparent symptoms than if they have symptoms since Lyme decreases the body's ability to produce the antibodies needed to show up in testing. Thus, this is the problem - poor testing ability. What is often done in those who show symptoms, but not testing positive, is that they are treated with antibacterials for a time to lower the Lyme load to enable the body to produce enough antibodies to show up in testing. The suppressed immunity is also likely why many of the Strep carriers are not testing positive to Strep. When I started this autism journey, I searched many hours a day for about a year to try to figure out what is behind autism. All the roads lead to Lyme and mercury. What sold me on the Lyme hypothesis is that the fastest, most dramatic recovery postings stated " I started treating my son for Lyme and his autism symptoms started going away " . These were the only postings like this. All the other treatments people mentioned, stated they got better or improved, even after years. But, some lose symptoms right away upon Lyme treatments. The problem is that treating for Lyme in children with autism is taking years, just like autism treatments, and the treatments are very similar. Lyme, itself, is not the problem. When you have symptoms from Lyme, you also now have other pathogens and toxins to deal with. So, it's the combination that is the problem. This is why we all are doing so many treatments for many pathogen types and toxins in order to get into recovery. Guest guest
This is a very interesting thread. I recently attended a small conference in San Francisco and one of the DAN physiscians on hand is also an expert in Lyme (he contracted it it years ago). In his practice he has been finding that 30% of his patients with Autism test positive for Lyme with absolutely no symptoms in either the child or the parents. > > > > I still don't get this Lyme business. > > > > How can a child get autism,if neither the child or the mother, while pregnant gets full-blown Lyme? > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: Sasmita Mishra <sasmitamishra15@> > > To: mb12 valtrex > > Sent: Fri, February 12, 2010 2:00:09 PM > > Subject: Re: OT: From Roadblocks to Recovery: Lyme/Autism Conference > > > >  > > Tami, > > > > I hope you have already received my check + signed form for the Zyto scan with you tomorrow? > > So, I'll be calling in at 4:30 PM PST feb 13th, 2010 @ , right? > >  > > Thanks, > > Sasmita > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: " Tamiduncan@ aol.com " <Tamiduncanaol (DOT) com> > > To: infoliafoundation (DOT) org > > Sent: Thu, February 11, 2010 12:23:22 PM > > Subject: OT: From Roadblocks to Recovery: Lyme/Autism Conference > > > >  > > > > > > > > Early Bird Pricing Ends March 1st! > > From Roadblocks to Recovery 2010 4th Annual Conference > > Where:Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa > > 44-600 Indian Wells Lane > > Indian Wells, CA 92210 > > > > Driving Directions > > > > > > When: > > April 15, 2010 at 08:00 AM > > -to- > > April 18, 2010 at 12:00 PM > > Add to my calendar > > Dear Friends, > > > > > > We are so excited to announce the details of our 4th Annual Lyme-Autism Conference, " From Roadblocks to Recovery. Guest guest
, This is a very good question and foundational… and I fully support Heidi in her post. As I am just a mom that is further down this recovery road with a son that hit his wall, so close to recovery but needing to push further through. Through a series of events we discovered low level Lyme (including Zyto, because of high test expense & high false negative testing we chose to not do lab testing with this one, but just treat based on symptoms....this was safe for us as we chose treating with naturals. We started treatments and to my surprise, I also started doing better...I looked on the outside as pretty normal, but my immune system was lower than I wanted getting sick with a cold or flu a couple of times a year (I now have a much stronger immune system & am going through the 1st winter in years that while exposed to many colds/flu have not been sick…and my energy is much better than it was). My son is also doing much better. What finally helped me decide to treat myself was in further researching some of the overlooked skin patterning symptoms, I found some of my own symptoms:(http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org/PhotoAlbum_RashBart.html Some of mine looked like picture #1 which I really did not notice till after I had my son, then I thought it was just stretch marks from carrying my son…but 10 years of having them & then treating they have almost gone away…now I know those were not stretch marks, they were Bartonella. Some of my other marks that are going away looked like the ones on the back of the leg (I think it was picture #2) & on the last picture. Most people would never pick up on it, but after seeing these I'll never look at summertime legs the same.....most that you see with the summertime legs are clueless of the underlying issues, all they (or the standard doc knows) is that they are heading (if not already) diagnosed with CFS, MS or other parallel symptoms…go down to the root…what organism (or immune suppression which has stacked organisms like Heidi explained) has lead the body this far into a disease state. To further press this point, check out the symptom list http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org/ " Symptom List " . I also highly recommend the LIA Foundations symptom checklist http://www.lymeinducedautism.com/symptomchecklist.html I also highly recommend this fantastic paper http://www.lymeinducedautism.com/lymeinformationresearch.html " When To Suspect Lyme " . I never remember being bitten by a tick, but if you (or your mother) has moles, polyps (I've had 3 colon polyps removed, my mother died of colon cancer as she had just turned 50, she also had several moles, which I only recently started understanding), or have any of the above rashes, I'd start looking into these treatments. Heidi, I can not find in my notes where to find the symptom comparison chart on CFS or MS, do you have a link you could put up…got to see this…scary…undiagnosed organisms that bring the immune system down to a stock-pile that brings enough " symptoms " to then be classified as a " disease " . So for me, bottom line was we treated and while my rashes were going away I also got more energy and a stronger immune syste,. For my son, I also have further improvements in many things. We are both still on herbs to bring down our organism load (lower our total body burden) to have a healthier future for both of us. After reading your question I spoke with a dear friend of mine that is an RN (30 years/last 18 in a hospital Labor & Delivery) that was with me at the LIA Conference. We talked about this and how best to paint a picture. What we came up with is a currently accepted organism correlation that parallels, Group B Strep. To bring this parallel together we need to set some ground thoughts: 1) We have an organism exposure which can be passed between mother & fetus/baby. 2) We have 2 separate immune systems, one that is new & immature at birth. With the Group B Strep it is known in the medical community that even though the mother may not have any symptoms or know that she is a Group B Strep carrier, this organism is passed to the baby and gives the baby a higher mortality rate as a newborn. Because of this they test all pregnant women with a swab for Group B Strep. If the mom tests positive she is given antibiotics during labor (for the baby). If there is not time for 2 IV doses to the mom pre-birth the baby needs to stay extra time in the hospital for additional antibiotic treatment & observation (this happened to my sister, my niece had to stay an extra day & my breastfeeding sister having been released 24 hours after delivery had to " board " with her for an additional day). This organism is hardly recognized by the mother's body, but can be fatal to the newborn. Now, let's take an organism that is not screened for…and generally not even looked at. It is immune suppressant….but all the same adds to the " total body burden " . Now hit this already stressed immune system with some extra triggers like vaccines and an overloaded immune system (aka Autism) can occur….and depending on when this " overload " occurs (ie regressive ASD can be triggered differently in different children as the " total body burden " hits it's immune system breaking point…the organisms that the immune system had somewhat under control till the immune system could no longer handle all of them and they grew out of control). I hope this helps a little to paint a picture of why the mom does not have to be in an all-out Lyme state to still affect the baby. If you want to learn more, the LIA is a fantastic Conference with doctors that are treating many different organisms. Many of us are seeing wonderful things from our children as they break through some of their walls. One of those is my son…and 5 of them are Heidi's children (loved meeting her at last years LIA conference…she spoke & was given a parent award…you're the best Heidi!). Blessings, Rita > > > > > > I still don't get this Lyme business. > > > > > > How can a child get autism,if neither the child or the mother, while pregnant gets full-blown Lyme? > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > From: Sasmita Mishra <sasmitamishra15@> > > > To: mb12 valtrex > > > Sent: Fri, February 12, 2010 2:00:09 PM > > > Subject: Re: OT: From Roadblocks to Recovery: Lyme/Autism Conference > > > > > >  > > > Tami, > > > > > > I hope you have already received my check + signed form for the Zyto scan with you tomorrow? > > > So, I'll be calling in at 4:30 PM PST feb 13th, 2010 @ , right? > > >  > > > Thanks, > > > Sasmita > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > From: " Tamiduncan@ aol.com " <Tamiduncanaol (DOT) com> > > > To: infoliafoundation (DOT) org > > > Sent: Thu, February 11, 2010 12:23:22 PM > > > Subject: OT: From Roadblocks to Recovery: Lyme/Autism Conference > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > Early Bird Pricing Ends March 1st! > > > From Roadblocks to Recovery 2010 4th Annual Conference > > > Where:Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa > > > 44-600 Indian Wells Lane > > > Indian Wells, CA 92210 > > > > > > Driving Directions > > > > > > > > > When: > > > April 15, 2010 at 08:00 AM > > > -to- > > > April 18, 2010 at 12:00 PM > > > Add to my calendar > > > Dear Friends, > > > > > > > > > We are so excited to announce the details of our 4th Annual Lyme-Autism Conference, " From Roadblocks to Recovery. Guest guest
" 30% of his patients with Autism test positive for Lyme with absolutely no symptoms in either the child or the parents " This is significant! What is also significant is lab results go from " 20-30% of autistic children test positive without provocation " to " 73% with provocation " . Waking up the immune system & exposing the organisms by treating for about a month THEN testing (provocing the organism) brings the Lab results to 73%....this is very important! http://www.lymeinducedautism.com/howtogettested.html Rita > > > > > > I still don't get this Lyme business.
