Michele,

I must have missed something. What are you talking about? What is going on

with Aubrie and her spelling? Patty's spelling has always been difficult for

her. So has her sentence structure. She doesn't hear all the words like is,

if, the...So she writes like she hears. People thought it was more

intellectual than physical. They were wrong. Plus she always had to write with

pen and

paper. How I wish she was on computers in school. She spent so much time on

the process of writing on paper that she lost the product. Do you know what

I mean? She would have been able to spell check and grammer check. Then she

would have experienced correct spelliing and grammer. And then there is so

much more...You are getting her on the computer right? And is she going to

learn sign?

I don't know what is happening but don't worry about Aubrie. She has a

mother who will find the appropriate way for her to learn.

We haven't implemented anything new from Perkins yet. I haven't even called

for the follow-up info after the team meeting!!! I've felt like crap the

past few weeks, but I'm back to myself just today. I'm also preoccupied

with Chelendipity (my business) Christmas season -- so -- I will get to it,

but it's been set aside recently.

The thing about vowels-- I don't remember how it got started-- but Aubrie is

doing great in all areas, but she has a hard time in spelling with figuring

out which vowel to use. Some are harder than others. I don't think she

hears the difference between short i/short e for example.
