Might start checking to see if it happens when mold count is high or when she eats certain foods.
Guest guest
My daughter also has dark cirlces under her eyes; her DAN doctor was also convinced it was food allergies, and yet, when we did the BIOSET tests she was not allergic to anything (except giardia). Go figure - she eats a LOT - a constant grazer, and takes mega supplements, so I'm sure she's getting all the proper nutrients. Any other ideas? Guest guest
Does anybody know why that may happen, except lack of > sleep? Dark circles can be symptom of phenol sensitivity. Reduce foods/supplements high in phenols, for info check http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm. I also give No-Fenol enzyme by houstonni.com, it has worked great for my son. Guest guest
I noticed this in my son the first time we chelated him with DMSA and ALA. My son had never had dark circles before, not even when he needed sleep. He looked awful. Not only did he develop dark circles under his eyes, but the skin on his face became very dry. He was 9 years old and very high in all toxic metals. My doctor decided he was detoxing too fast and we halted that round of chelation. The circles disappeared and I treated the dry skin with Vitamin E oil and it soon cleared up. I spent the next few months focusing more on supplements and diet and finally reintroduced ALA. Then when we tried the next round of DMSA we had no problems. On another note, I have noticed the last round of DMSA I did with my son he was much more keyed up than usual. I wouldn't describe it as hyperactivity as I've seen in other children, but he did seem more anxious less able to sit still. He is normally a very sedentary person! M. Guest guest
dark circles can also come about with yeast problems or phenol problems. Guest guest
That type of symptom screams FOOD ALLERGY!!! Hope this helps : ) [ ] Dark circles under my daughter eyes Dear listmates, I get regular reports from the teacher of my 6 years old NT daughter that she comes in the morning with dark circles under her eyes. It does not happen every day, and the teacher thinks that in those days when she has dark circles she is unattentive and is thinking about something else. Does anybody know why that may happen, except lack of sleep? She seemed to sleep enough today, but had those dark circles. I would so much appreciate any advice. Thank you, Margaret
Guest guest
Also known as " allergic shiners " . Have you had testing done or tried rotation diet to determine food or environmental allergies? Guest guest
I think you should try the No-fenol product from Houston Nutraceuticals and join the group. This helps my son - Phenol are chemicals which has an aromatic ring and a alcohol (hydroxyl) group.. tyrosine is a component of most proteins and adrenalin are both phenol - I now give no-fenol to stop my son meltdowns ( adrenalin rushes). Guest guest
what about phenols? For my dd when she gets a hold of something that is phenolic she gets the dark circles under her eyes. Possibility to consider.
