Hey Dawn,

I'm actually not too far from you then. I'm just outside the Ottawa

area :) It's nice to meet you.

Hi Sheena,

I really can't give a call on whether, after RAI, whether you might

get a diagnosis of Hasimoto's or not. I think this will depend upon

how much of your Thryoid was killed off by the Radioactive Iodine

treatment.

For your own education, learning about Hashimoto's might be a great

idea.

I think once you get started on your Thryoid hormone replacement

therapy you will find that your cold feet will warm up.

Another thing that you might consider is to supplement your Adrenal

gland...The Adrenal gland has gone through an awful lot of stress

and giving it a rest might help it out in the long run. Nutri-Meds

Desiccated Adrenal is a good product for Adrenal supplementation as

well as ENZYMATIC THERAPY ADRENAL-CORTEX, there are others, these

just come to mind right off the bat...

Be sure that you are taking a high quality multi

vitamin...especially now as your body trys to heal. Also, a really

good thing to take is a Stress level Vitamin B complex...This will

give you a lot of of the full range of the B vitamins along with

extra B12 and Folic Acid...vits that Thryoid people need more of

than most. Keep track of your Ferratin (Iron) levels as well.
