Guest guest
Has anyone heard of YEXT Physical Therapy? Guest guest
Yes I have been contacted. After comparing pricing of a highlighted ad on google it seemed to be similarly priced but the google ad had much better exposure as it wasn't buried in Yext's highlighted ad. Guest guest
For those that find DC's listed in Yext, I would recommend that you turn them into your state's licensing board for advertising as a physical therapist or as providing physical therapy if they do not have a licensed physical therapist on staff. In Texas, it is illegal for them to advertise as providing physical therapy if they are not registered with the state of Texas as a physical therapy clinic and have a licensed physical therapist performing their physical therapy. See © below. In Texas, Sec. 453.201. LICENSE REQUIRED; USE OF TITLE. (a) A person may not practice physical therapy or practice as a physical therapist assistant, unless the person is an individual who holds a license issued by the board. ( A person, including the person's employee or other agent or representative, may not extend or provide physical therapy services unless the services are provided by a physical therapist. © A person is considered to be practicing physical therapy if the person: (1) performs, offers to perform, or attempts to perform physical therapy; or (2) publicly professes to be or holds the person out to be a physical therapist or as providing physical therapy. (d) Unless the person is a physical therapist, a person, including the person's employee or other agent or representative, may not use in connection with the person's name or business activity: (1) the words " physical therapy, " " physical therapist " , " physiotherapy, " " physiotherapist, " " licensed physical therapist, " " registered physical therapist, " or " physical therapist assistant " ; (2) the letters " PT, " " PhT, " " LPT, " " RPT, " or " PTA " ; or (3) any other words, letters, abbreviations, or insignia indicating or implying, by any means or in any way, that physical therapy is provided or supplied. (e) A person may not use the title " Physical Therapist " unless the person is a physical therapist. (f) A person may not use the title " Physical Therapist Assistant " unless the person is a physical therapist assistant. Turn them in and then you at least made them lost the cost of the advertising that they should not have. Guest guest
Well. I'm listed on the Yext website and I didn't pay anything to them. Guest guest
Seeing that there has been quite the discussion around this issue, I just contacted yext (1-800-321-yext) and spoke to a gentleman named Matt. I let Matt know that there has been a discussion on a national listserve about yext. Of course, at first he sounded excited... until I let him know that unfortunately, yext is providing misrepresentation. I let him know that I know yext is snagging data somehow and putting it within their system. I let him know I know this because my business is listed within yext within the correct zip code. The misrepresentation that is occurring is when chiropractors are listed as physical therapists. He wanted specifics and I shared with him my zip code and the chiropractor. He said that no one in my zip code was a paying customer and the information was pulled from public information. He stated that somewhere, the chiropractor listed " physical therapist. " I completely disagreed and stated I went to the chiropractor's own website and his website doesn't state physical therapist or physical therapy. I let him know that doesn't mean that some other company couldn't have had him listed within physical therapist and yext pulled inaccurate data from that company listing - meaning a ripple effect of misrepresentation. Matt questioned whether there was legal issues with listing a chiropractor in the physical therapist section. I stated that there is a licensing board and misrepresentation is not acceptable and the situation should be fixed - it isn't right for consumers. I let him know I was more than willing to call the licensing board and the attorney general's office to look into the matter and get with him on the issue. He said he'd look into the matter and get back with me. Maybe others who are disliking the listings can also call yext and communicate about the misrepresentation occurring? There are no ads on their website, so that's not it. Matt Capo, PT Accelerated Physical Therapy and Occupational Health, Inc. Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead, Mississippi Re: yext physical therapy Seeing that there has been quite the discussion around this issue, I just contacted yext (1-800-321-yext) and spoke to a gentleman named Matt.
