Guest guest
One of my PT's went to the PT 2010 conference in Boston last weekend and heard about a study done through Mt. Saint 's in southern California I believe. There was a list of " illegal practices " that were being done at various sites that students had gone for internships. One of the top offenses was using unlicensed aides to set up or deliver Iontophoresis. In reading over the CA practice act and various CMS transmittals I don't see a definitive explanation of whether or not a properly supervised aide can assist in setting up a patient for Iontophoresis. Does anyone have a reference or definite answer to this question? Thanks, Loren Rehab Director
