I think I envy all you folks who can take long walks. I decided to park in

front of one store at the shopping center and then did not move my car when I

went to a store at the other end of the shopping center so I could get in

some more exercise. I could feel my bad foot swelling in my shoe by the time

I got back to the car. So bummed. I used to love to take walks. :o(

Fortunately the stationary bike doesn't have the same effect on me.

I was looking for shoes today because the ones I wear to work are starting to

get very tired. Unfortunately, it takes a while because they have to be wide

enough and deep enough to accommodate my molded orthotic inserts and they

need to comply with the dress code. I have large feet, so it was hard enough

to find shoes I liked in the pre-orthotic days, now it's darned near

impossible to find a pair that works. I was gone so long that I needed a

lunch break, but instead of going to a fast food drive through as usual I

went to Panera bread and had a half sandwich and a salad. I saved the

sourdough roll that came with the salad and brought it home for Dad. I just

felt so darned virtuous. :o)
